| Why
should I not hire a "professional" painter or someone
who has been painting longer?
We don't plan on being
out of business next year or take on a new trad.e If you want
to stick to one painter and some one who is goin to be here
for a few years to look over your home and the services you
need. If you have a problem with any of our work , we will make
it right. If there's something that's not right, we'll make
it right. We always try to be clean and everything perfect,
but because we're humans we're little less than perfect. We
will always be here if you need us to come back.
What kind of safety precautions do you
have?
When we're working on height, or any areas
where they may be a danger. Safety is the #1 concern for us
and your property. Safety as far as preventing accidents and
injuries. Safety as far as your furniture or yard. We cover
everything so paint doesn't get on it. We don't leave things
laying around to trip over.
Maybe I should paint it myself. What do I need to do
that?
You could always call us. We're not in
it for the money so if you need advice, on which products to
use, what to do, what procesure to go by, then we'll be happy
to answer them, in detail. We are experts and are here to help.
How does our guarantee work?
We'll be there and come back for any problems.
The guarantee only works if you follow procedures however. That
is why our prices are usually higher because we have to go through
all the procedures to guarantee our work properly. We paint
to make sure it lasts. The basic guarantee for paint is 1 year.
Any paint job should last anywhere from 3 years onward, depending
on the painting surface and conditions.
Will they be practicing on my home? Are they just learning
to paint?
Sometimes we do have guys who are new
to the crew or company, but there is no per say, practicing.
Either they are a beginner, they would be doing the prep work,
sanding and scraping. They are always under the supervision
of myself or a supervisor. You should never have to worry over
stuff like that. We claim each person a professional, even if
it's their first day painting. Because the ones that are overseeing
him is responsible. Anyone who is on a job has to be painting
like they're Bill Johnson personally. That is the standard that
we have to have. We consider our standards high and all our
people have to aim for those standards. If they can't deliver,
we can't use them.
Can you give me a ballpark estimate over the phone?
Yes a real ball park estimate but it's
not usually good. It's always good to see the job.
Do we paint interiors? Do you mow lawns, handyman work,
etc.?
We do paint interiors but for the other
services, generally no. We do have a list of contacts who do
carpenting, window door installers, siders, etc. We've been
in the business since 1989 and met quite a few people along
the way.
How does the warranty work?
If you stick to the full price and proper
procedure, the warranty's there. We can come within the warranty
or outside the warranty. We can only guarantee what we scrape
or prime. Anything that has been there before, that we have
to paint over top or that doesn't come off. there's a possibility
that might peel. It shouldn't but if anything, that's the area.
What kind of training do the painters have?
We have experienced painters, on the job
experience. They have to start from the bottom. They could be
sanding, laying out drop sheets and doing the little stuff which
makes a good painter. Because if you don't know your stuff,
that's a good spot to start.
Are the painters supervised?
The painters are always supervised. Bill
Johnson is responsible for each and every job.
